The First World Peace® is a global music project by THEREMAIN® , built around one original song expressed in 20 languages.

Its goal is to raise awareness that humanity has never experienced a true world peace — and to make the possibility of a first one imaginable worldwide.

Across 18 tracks, the lyrics and musical versions carry that idea through different languages and cultures.

The First World Peace® is based in Vienna, Austria, and was created by the independent artist THEREMAIN®.

THEREMAIN is the artist behind the original concept, the German lyrics and the creative direction of the project.

While the project has its home in Vienna, it is international in scope — built around languages, cultures and people from around the world.

Yes. All language versions are based on the same song and on the original German lyrics.

The German lyrics served as the foundation for all other language versions. They were translated and, where necessary, carefully adapted or expanded so that they work naturally with the respective language, melody, rhythm and rhyme — while preserving the meaning and intention of the original lyrics as closely as possible.

Where possible, the musical arrangements were shaped to reflect the character of each language and culture, combining traditional instruments or musical elements with modern beats. Most of the tracks were created as female–male duets.

These 20 language versions are brought together across 18 tracks, creating a musical journey of about one hour through languages, cultures and sounds from around the world.

The result is one song in 20 languages — expressed differently, but always rooted in the same original.

The project represents 20 languages across 18 tracks. Some languages are combined within one shared track, so the number of languages is greater than the number of individual audio tracks.

The language count refers to the languages represented in the project — not to the number of separate recordings.

The selection brings together languages from different parts of the world to create broad linguistic and cultural reach. It is not intended as a ranking of languages or cultures.

All 20 languages stand side by side as equal voices in The First World Peace.

The language order follows an alphabetical structure, with the opening track as a deliberate exception. Each language carries the same song and the same goal, while giving it its own linguistic, cultural and musical character.

Each sticker is connected to a specific language and can lead people directly back to the project, the music and the story behind it. In this way, a small physical object can help the idea become part of everyday life and reach new people.

Yes. For personal, non-commercial social media content, you may use an official version of the song available in the music library of the respective social platform.

Please use the song directly through the platform rather than downloading, extracting or re-uploading the audio file.

Yes. The First World Peace is a human-led creative project supported by Artificial Intelligence.

AI tools are used in parts of the music production, synthetic vocals and selected language-related and editorial processes, including support for translating the original German poem and lyrics into 19 additional languages. The concept, the original German poem and lyrics, their intended meaning and lyrical direction, the artistic direction and final creative decisions are human-led. AI supported the translation process; it did not originate the lyrical concept or message.

The vision behind The First World Peace® began around 25 years before today’s generative AI technologies became available. AI did not create the idea — it became a tool that helped make it possible to realize that human vision on an international scale, across 20 languages and different musical cultures, especially for an independent project developed and led by one person.

Without this technology, a project of this scope would have been far more difficult to realize in this form.

The project supports the spirit of the United Nations International Day of Peace on 21 September. The UN theme for 2026 is Invest in Peace – For Everyone, Everywhere and Every Day .

No. The First World Peace® is an independent music project. It does not represent a political party, government, ideology or religion. Its purpose is simply to make the idea of world peace visible, audible and shareable across borders.

You can listen to the songs, share the project and official links, use the songs in permitted personal social media content, talk about the idea and help make The First World Peace® visible.

Organizations, businesses, initiatives and communities can also join The First World Peace Network .

Yes. Constructive feedback is very welcome. Visitors can point out language or pronunciation details, suggest improvements for future versions, recommend additional languages or share other ideas for the further development of the project.

Suggestions are reviewed as The First World Peace® evolves, although not every proposal can necessarily be implemented. The project is designed to learn and improve as it reaches more people, languages and cultures.

The First World Peace is an independent project operated by THEREMAIN e.U. and is not an NGO or nonprofit organization.

The development of the project has been entirely funded by its founder to date.

Creating, maintaining and expanding an international project requires financial resources — from music production and digital infrastructure to distribution, communication and global outreach.

As the project grows, funding may therefore also come from music revenues, products, licensing, sponsorships, partnerships or public funding.

Financial transparency is part of the broader transparency philosophy of The First World Peace®. Significant external sponsors, funding institutions or other major sources of support may therefore be disclosed publicly where appropriate.

The goal is to build a financially sustainable project that can continue to develop and reach people around the world. If the project generates sustainable surpluses in the future, supporting selected peace-related or charitable initiatives is also intended to become part of its development.

The First World Peace is designed to grow over time.

The website will soon expand with dedicated pages for the remaining 19 languages, each presented in its own language and script. A simple two-letter language selector in the main menu will make it easy to switch between them.

A blog and newsletter are also planned to share new developments, stories, perspectives and milestones.

Future development may include additional languages, new musical versions, collaborations with human singers and musicians, growth of the global Network and new creative formats or initiatives connected with the idea of The First World Peace.
